Leslie Samuels, BS
Community Health Educator
Leslie Samuels graduated from Oklahoma State University with a BS in 1984. She started her career working as a buyer and manager for a top clothing organization. She then started working with a large Healthcare Medical/Pharmaceutical organization and found her true passion. Leslie was a drug representative for 20 years. She has worked part-time for the American Diabetes Association (ADA) and currently is the Chair of North Texas “Project Power”; a free Faith-Based Diabetes Education Program. Leslie is an advisor for TMF Health Quality Institute Campaign for Kidney Health (reduce health care disparities in Diabetes and CKD). On a personal note, Leslie loves to perform missionary work with her church, traveling around the world to see and enjoy the wonders God has given, and is a pianist. “The opportunity to be a Health Educator for DHWI puts me in the right place. My passion to help people brings excitement and joy to my heart.”
